In georgia finally

Hey everyone,

I'm finally in King's Bay, Georgia. The drive was not a very fun one, wayyy too long for my liking. Going through the Carolina's was sooo boringg. I'd say it's about 500 miles of striaght road, and not having cruise control that works is prettyy annoying haha. But I'm glad I finally got here.

It's a great placee. A lot more relaxed then up in conneticut. They don't put up with anything, but as long as nobody's is screwing up they are real laid back. This base is absolutely HUGEEE!!! It's massivee! It's also a animal preserve, so anything bigger then a squirrel is illegal to touch or kill, and when you accidentally hit one with your car you better tell them or they do some investigation and find you someway it's crazy. I come on base for the first time and I'm checking into my barracks room, and the first thing I see is a lit up full sized soccer field right outside the barracks. I think my heart stopped.

The room's are nice, right now it's just me to a room, sharing a bathroom with two other guys in the room across the way. It's kind of a little suite, you open the door and right in front of you is the head, and to the right and left is the two different rooms. I got a full size refrigerator and a nice microwave with a toaster attached to it. The rooms are soooo nicely air conditioned i love it. Which it has to be because it's usually about 90 outside with extremely high humidity, which is fine if I could be wearing shorts or something, not a full uniform, wayy too hot. But we don't go outside much during the day so it's ok.

I'm on hold down here until middle of september. Pretty much all we do everyday is sit around and do nothingg, occasionally we'll go to the computer room when it's free and be able to go do some courses online through the navy website, but right now we gotta do a bunch of bs courses that are required by the military as well as my instructors. But it's easyyy, the people that are on hold are real cool, the instructors are real laid back and we'll mess around with us all the time, especially when they're boss isn't in at the time haha.

I got internet yesterday, it's sprint DSL, KILL me noww haha. It's wayyy too slowww, but it's hard to find time where comcast can come on base during hours that your able to be in your room, and sprint was bout 30 seconds from my barracks room so I decided to get them for now and soon i'll either work on getting comcast or one of my buddies that's right next door is going to try to get comcast and I'll give him some money and use it. I also bought a 32" tv, i'm excited to play games on that :), find a great price thanks to Dad at ecost.com. It should have been here today, but because it's a military base and stuff it should be here tomorrow. When i went down to check if the tv came in yet, I see most of the boxes that were delivered opened at some point to be searched it's pretty intense. Which duhhh, it's understandable being on a Nuclear Missle base. Also, today I just joined a softball team, kind of weird I know but Navy isn't allowed baseball, and I really want to play some sport and bunch of my buddies were looking for more players so I joined up. It's a summer league that the command has, there's teams from sailors that are stationed on boats, our superiors, students, it's awesome, it'll be a lot of fun, especially being the outfield i'll be super busy running around doing some diving catches and getting out some of my superiors haha.

For the people that want to know, My current address is

MTSA Adiletta, Jeffrey, K.
1040 USS Georgia Ave.
TRITRAFAC Code 53C
King's Bay, GA 31547

Please don't send me anything stupid hahaha, that definately wouldn't be good. Oh, I also got my Top Secret Security Clearance :), i'm excited about that.

This base has a little place you can rent motor boats, rv's, trailors, canoes, it's awesome. They have a full auto body shop that you can take your car and put it up for $3 a day and do whatever you want, they have every tool you can think of. They have a sweet pool, and an even sweeterrr water slide haha. The Navy Exchange (Which is a grocery-retail store) has EVERYTHINGGG you can think of, up in Conneticut it wasn't that big, it had a lot of stuff, but still wasn't that big. This one is hugeeee.

I really like the area too, Jacksonville is only 30 min away, a pretty nice beach is only about 10 min away. Savannah is about 2 hours. My buddies and I are going to be switching off driving to different cities visiting them. For example, Orlando, Panama City, Daytona, Savannah, Pensacola, Tampa bay, and anywhere else we find.

Well, I'm tired, I'm heading to bed. I'll update my adventures as I go on them.

Love Y'ALL HAHAHA

Headinnn to Georgia.

Hey everyonee,

I just finished my last school which was Apprentice Technical Training. It was all on the computer, self-paced, dealing with circuit boards and DC and AC circuits. I'm working on checking out of the base here in Conneticut and waiting for my orders which should be here in a couple days so I can finally head down to King's Bay Georgia for my last and final school. I'm officially rated as a Missile Technician :). So i'm not a complete newbie anymore lol.

I'm very excited for everything, a bunch of people that I know from this school who have the same job as me are coming down with me. We are on hold until the end of october early november because apparently there aren't enough instructors. So, we have to just sit around monday thru friday cleaning every once in awhile, doing absolutely nothing. Then we get the weekends off so bunch of us are going to go camping, try to rent a little motor boat to go fishing, go visit Savannah and Jacksonville. It's going to be a lot of fun, it's a little vacation before we start are next school which is very strict compared to up here. Which is obvious since now I'll be learning about nuclear warheads and missiles, can't have any stupid people doing this job haha.

Well, if anyone reads this email me at jeffrey.adiletta@yahoo.com to let me know what's new with you. Haven't heard from anyone in a longggg time. Can't wait to see all of you at Dan and Laura's wedding in september :).

Another graduation

Helloo everyonee,

I just graduated from Basic Mechanical School, and I start my next school monday morning first thing which is Advanced technical training. It's completely self-paced, on the computer. If you take it on schedule everyday it takes about 3 weeks to finish everything. But I'm definately going to try to finish quicker so I can graduate and get the heck out of here and on to my final school down in King's Bay, Georgia. I'm doing pretty well up here, we have 8 people that is quarentined because they have swine flu, so the base is being extremely cautious about everything. I hope everything is going well for everyone, haven't heard anything from anyone, way to communicate guys! :P
I bought Tony's old Kia last weekend, it's a big help having a car on base, make a bunch of money taking friends to the mall and stuff since the taxi ride out there is expensive. And been havin a lot of fun going up to Providence, and to NY. Hopefully goin to try to get out to Boston before I head to Georgia, maybe even for a Red Sox game. Bunch of people havent' ever been to Boston so they want to go, bunch of them are coming down to Georgia with me so they want to go before they leave as well. Got a lot of friends on base that know ALOT about cars which is good with all the driving I've been doing lately.
So far at least one of my instructors from every school i've been in has tried to imitate my voice, it's pretty funny. They get a kick out of it. And I am the kick ball champion hahaha. For PT in the morning we've been playing kick ball, and I've been kicking ass. I'm very proud about that haha.
Send me some emails people or something, I wanna hear what's going on in the family, we have a big family I'd like to know what's going on. I'm gonna start updating a lot more on here, especially has i get down to Georgia.

It's been awhile

Hey everyonee,

It's been awhile since I last updated this, I've been really busy with school stuff during the weekdays, then going home on the weekends. Had a crazyyyy memorial day weekend. Still recovering from it. Well the school that i'm in now called BMS (Basic mechanical Skills) is super easy, it's only about 3 weeks long. Then I got to ATT, which i forget what it stands for.
Right now I'm in my room doing nothing because I went to medical today and I'm SIQ (Sick In Quarters) because I have a virul infection in my sinuses. Major sinus headaches and coughing up a lung. But now i have drugs and I get to sleep allll day :). So it's all good.
I just bought Tony's old car, which was a great deal, real helpful around base, saves a lot of money since taxi's to go anywhere here is wayyy expensive. Other then that nothing is really new, same stuff, different day. I'm gonna go back to sleep, I'll update in more detail some other time.

love everyone.

Go NCIS

Hey everyone,

I'm reporting from my barracks room on this rainy day here in Groton, CT. I just got internet and TV here the other day. My roommate actually got it installed. So I decided to go out and buy a wireless router for the room. This weekend has been pretty crappy, but yesterday I went out to see Wolverine, which was AWESOMEEEEE!!!!! :D
I've been looking at the NCIS website and I'm definately going to try and be a NCIS Special Agent. And with my schedule on a submarine with being 3 months in and 3 months out i'll be able to work on my criminology degree. I found out that it's a requirement to just have a bach. degree. Doesn't matter if it's criminology degree. But I figured I'd go for a criminology degree since it'll make it much easier when I'm trying to to be a Special Agent. And another requirement is to be able to have a background check which i'll already have from the Navy since I'm working on getting the highest possible clearance. Plus, I'll be qualified in all the weapons. So as long as I stay in shape it should be easy for me to get into. I want to do this because I want to be able to come home and be proud of my job. I want to make a difference in the world. :) Plus I want to catch those sailors and marines that decide to dessert their country. lol I know I just want to be some badass. Oh well.
Well back to studying. Gotta keep my average looking good :). I'll update soon.

I'm smart :P

Heyy everyone,
I'm doing awesome right now, I had my first quiz last week and got an 88 on it. Then I had my first test today and got a 90. I'm so relieved. I stayed up all night last night helping my friend type up all my notes on my laptop because someone jacked his notebook so we were writing everything up for him the last two days so he is able to study. Then, we decided just to stay up the rest of the night to study together and we both did really well. This is A LOT easier then I thought it would be. I know once I start my actual schools for my job that it'll be harder but still this is super easy :). Don't worry I'm not going to slack off just because I did well on this two examinations.
I'm going to be talking to the Career Counselor and talk to them about different ways to get into CTT (Cryptology Technician), NCIS, and Navy Special Tactical Swat team. I was interested in CTT because they are stationed everywhere, on an Airplane, in a Sub, on a Destroyer, aircraft carrier. They can be put anywhere. And the two others I just would love to do something like that. Also, I found out that they do have a Soccer team and you play a couple long tournaments, but I won't worry about that until I'm out in the fleet since I wouldn't be able to go anywhere due to still being in school. I also might check out their volleyball team as well.
I was talking to my friend Edwards from boot camp today and he's just got his orders, and he's being stationed at Bangor, Washington. Which is one of the two bases that I could be stationed at, it's that one or King's bay, Georgia. I was thinking of being stationed at Bangor already because their base is much better, and there's not as much to do around king's bay. I'm pretty excited.
Love you all.

Hangin in there..

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated in awhile.. Tony reminded me i should haha. I've been busy and sometimes it's hard to get on a computer since a lot of times they are all taken. But I got out of class early, had a long finance class, it was pretty interesting. I'm on the computer right now watching 24. Hulu.com and the main tv websites are awesome lol. I can't wait to have my laptop and be able to watch move shows that I can't get on my phone. The only problem is that they don't go back that far so I can't watch the shows that I missed all through boot camp and stuff. Oh well, it's better then nothing. I'm doing well, I had duty last night, had about 2 hours of sleep last night, but suprisingly i'm very awake lol. Finally finished all my qualifications I had to do for all these watches. It was easy, but so annoyingg. But once again it's all a part of my job. I'll be able to wear civilian clothes again this weekend when I start my phase 2 liberty, and I can stay out until midnight. Also, one of my buddies Class leaders has a really nice Eclipse and he told him that some weekend if we want to borrow it to go out to providence or something we could. That's awesome, it's a nice tricked out Eclipse that he'll just let us borrow. Don't worry we aren't going to do anything stupid I won't let that happen!! :D.
Well for the people that don't know, I was playing basketball and went up for a rebound and landed on my foot wrong and then had two people land on it one after the other. Went to the emergency room, got x-rays taken, said it wasn't broken, just a bad sprain or could be something torn. Then I went to the sub-base health clinic and the doctor there was looking at my foot and he said there's no way the emergency room got this right, it has to be broken. So they ordered another set of xrays. The doctor came in and told me it's really not broken, i don't know how you did it but it's not broken. So, I've been in a stupid boot and on crutches for the last week and two days. Starting to be able to walk in tennis shoes finally. All the collisions in soccer as a goalie never have any real injuries, and then playing a little basketball I screw up my foot pretty bad. The left top of my foot is seriously swollen still, but the black and blue has finally gone away.
Well I don't know what else to say. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm hanging in there, i should be off my crutches soon and back to working out like crazy again. Thanks for the support everyone.... Mom hope you feel better! Hope you had a good birthday. Tony hope you have a good birthday as well. Both of you will be getting something in the mail soon, I get paid tomorrow :).
